Welcome to the first ever, Pokemon Generation Olympic Competition. In this competition each generation will be squaring off in a multiple events to see which team can come out on top. However there is more than 1 way to win and these are

1)  Gold Medals - The team with the most gold medals will win, if there is a tie then it comes down to the most silvers, if there is still a tie it comes down to the most bronze.

2) Medal Count - the team with the most Golds, Silvers and Bronze win.

3) Overall Event Points - Event points are gained placing in the top 8 of an event, the team with the most Points overall wins.

4) Overall Points - Every member of a team gains Points in an event the team with the most votes overall will win.

Each Event will last a varying amount of time and the way voting is done for each one will sometimes vary. Each Pokemon Generation will have 20 of the Pokemon introduced in its gen represent it for this competition and It is you the people of VGChartz who will choose which Pokemon you want to represent each Generation and to help you make your decisions the events are listed below.

Events:

Athletic Events - Each team sends in 2 Pokemon unless otherwise stated

Running Sprint: A quick Dash to the finish that's all about how fast you think a Pokemon can run the voting last 24 hours and only 1 vote per person

Marathon: A much longer race than the sprint, this is about which Pokemon you think will have you most endurance and the drive to push it to win a race where speed doesn't mean victory. This event last 48 Hours and each User is allowed to vote once every 24 hours.

4xSprint: This is a relay event where each team sends in 4 Pokemon to represent them. Each Leg last 12 Hours leading to the entire event being 48 hours. Every user is allowed to vote once during each leg of the race.

Shot Put: This is a technique and strength event. The Pokemon uses their strength to throw the heavy spot put as far as possible. This event last 24 hours and users are only allowed to vote once.

Long Jump: This is a jumping event where the Pokemon will run and leap as far as possible before landing into a sand pit. This event will last 24 hours.

High Jump: This is a jumping event where the Pokemon attempts to leap over a bar that gets progressively higher. This event will last 24 hours.

Swimming events - Each team sends in 2 Pokemon unless otherwise stated

Sprint: This and all swimming events are free style, this is a quick dash from one end of a body of water to the next. Voting last 24 hours only 1 vote per user.

Marathon: This is a long race where a Pokemon will cross from one region to another via the Ocean. Voting last 48 hours and each user can vote once every 24 hours.

4xSprint: This is a relay event where each team sends in its 4 fastest swimmers to represent them. Each leg last 12 hours and each user is allowed to vote once per leg.

Diving Race: This is a swimming event which test how fast a water Pokemon can travel as water pressure builds up. The Pokemon will dive to the ocean floor in a race meaning a Pokemon not only has to be fast but also strong.

Aerial Events - Each team sends in 2 Pokemon unless othewise stated

Only Pokemon that can sky battle, or Mega evolve into a flying type may Participate in these events.

Sprint: A straight forward flight from one side to the other, may the fastest flier win. This event last 24 hours.

Marathon: A flight from one region to the next and back. This event last 48 hours and test a competitors endurance.

4xSprint: A relay race where each team sends in 4 flying Pokemon to represent them. Each Leg will last 12 hours and users can vote once per leg.

Mountain Events

Mountain Climbing: This is a race to the top of a mountain, Pokemon need to be fast and strong to win. This event Last 24 hours.

4xMountain Climbing: This is a relay where each team sends in 4 Pokemon to represent them. Each leg last 12 hours and a user can vote once per leg.

Triathlon Events - Each team sends in 2 competitors unless otherwsie stated

There are Multiple Triathlon Events Consisting of mutliple varations of the events found above.

Sprint Triathlon: This is a triathlon consisting of Running, swimming and Flying. Each leg last 24 hours and each user can vote once per leg.

Endurance Triathlon: This triathlon consist of Running, swimming and Mountain climbing. Each Leg last 24 hours and each user can vote once per leg.

3xSprint Triathlon: This is relay race where each team sends in 3 Pokemon to represent them, one for the sprint leg, the swimming leg and the Flying leg. Each Leg last 24 hours.

3xEndurance Triathlon: This is a relay race where each team sends in 3 Pokemon to represent them, one for the Running marathon, one for the swimming marathon and one for the mountain climbing. Each leg last 24 hours.

Battle Events  

Sky Battle Tournament: Each Team will nominate 2 Pokémon to battle in a Sky battle, only Pokémon that can mega evolve into flying types, have the ability levitate or are on the list of Pokémon capable of sky battling will be allowed to participate. 4 Teams will randomly be selected to have a third competitor entered however only the top 2 positions will be counted in the placements. Each Battle Lasts 24 hours.

Double Battle Tourney: Each Team will nominate a combination of 2 Pokémon to battle together as team mates in an 8 team tournament. Two teams will randomly be able to have two different teams in the competition, however only the higher placing team will be rewarded with Points. The Battling teams will be randomly divided up and square off against each other until only 2 are left. Each Battle Last 24 hours.

Single Battle Tourney: The Ultimate Battle Tournament and the finale, each team will select two Pokémon to represent them with the 4 lowest scoring teams able to enter a third battler to help them out. The Tourney will be a double elimination tourney. 16 will enter only 1 will win, and the points are Tripled for this event.

Swim Sprint Competition: Welcome Exciting Sports and Pokémon fans to the first ever Pokémon Olympics! Today we have our first swimming event and one of the most looked forward to events in many Olympic Games. Now currently in the ocean and awaiting they’re start we have representing Kanto, Dewgong and Gyarados! Representing Johto, Kingdra and Feraligatr! Representing Hoenn, we have Swampert and Milotic! Representing Sinnoh, we have Empoleon and Floatzel! Representing Unova, we have Samurott and Keldeo and finally Representing Kalos, we have Greninja and Barbaracle!

The athletes are on the line now awaiting starting orders. On your marks! Get Set! Bang! The athletes quickly dived into the ocean before quickly resurfacing or swimming near to the surface. Floatzel quickly started off using its tail as a propeller and quickly took the early lead however he wasn’t the only one who was moving out of the gates. Right on his tail were Kingdra and Dewgong with Gyarados also having a fairly good start on the flip side of things however, The steel type Pokémon Empoleon being so heavy was very slow at the start and Barbaracle who was a rock type was just ahead of Empoleon out of the gate. Milotic who started out in 5th quickly pushed hard to move towards the leader with a huge push as the race finally got under way. Floatzel however wasn’t having that and quickly began to put on more pressure pushing himself further ahead of the others. Kingdra was quick to push off as well holding close to 2nd however he wasn’t alone. Milotic and Dewgong were right on his tail. Gyarados wasn’t too far behind them either with Greninja, Feraligatr and Swampert leading the middle pack with Barbaracle picking up the rear as Empoleon hit a stride and began to swim forward. Floatzel didn’t waste any time and quickly pushed forward using its propellers and extended its lead dramatically leaving the other Pokémon behind him to fight for 2nd. Kingdra, Milotic and Dewgong were going head to head going from 2nd to 4th as they battled head to head. Kingdra quickly over took the other 2 again and began to build a lead with dewgong and milotic fighting between 3rd and 4th. Gyarados who was in 5th quickly saw Greninja who for a ninja had a very terrible start, catch up to him and fly past him as he headed straight for the top 4.

1st Place was well ahead with 2nd through 5th very close together with gyarados in 6th with no one remotely close to him behind or in front. In the 2nd half, Swampert had over taken feraligatr but they were still fighting neck and neck with Empoleon quickly catching up to the two of them and joining them in the race. Samurott was also fairly close but Keldeo had fallen behind after a good start with Barbaracle bringing up the rear. It was then that Milotic decided to enter 2nd gear as he quickly pushed forward pushing past Dewgong and Kingdra to take 2nd place and quickly began to catch up on Floatzel however he was too late, Floatzel quickly passed the line 1st. Milotic wasn’t too far behind but had to settle for 2nd.

Kingdra and Dewgong came in hard neck and neck as they barrelled down to the line, Kingdra was slightly ahead coming on to the line however dewgong had one last spurt left in him and pushed himself forward allowing him and Kingdra to pass the line as the exact same time. A Tie for third place.

Greninja was swimming in hard he had fallen a bit behind the top 4 but still had 5th, however right on his tail was Gyarados. Greninja pushed harder and Gyarados pushed back as the line approached Gyarados was close he just needed a bit more to pass the ninja frog Pokémon however Greninja managed to pass the line 5th right ahead of Gyarados.

The Gap between 6th and 7th was large however Swampert had managed to finish his fight with feraligatr and push himself ahead to the 7th spot and he quickly began building distance ensuring himself and easy finish in 7th. Not too far behind him however was both Feraligatr and Empoleon. Empoleon had passed feraligatr but the Gator Pokémon quickly passed him back and began to build a lead as they headed towards the finish line. Placing 8th would give the Pokémon 1 event point and it was the final place that could give you an event point. Feraligatr saw the line right in front of him and reached out to pass it when Empoleon had a sudden burst of speed allowing him to edge out Feraligatr and take that 8th spot.

Samurott finished in a comfortable 10th place with Keldeo finishing in 11th and Barbaracle finishing last.

Diving Race Results

 Welcome back sports, fans the second event of the competition the Diving Race is about to begin. A lot of Athletes from the swim sprint are participating in this race so can Floatzel win another gold or will he be beaten in this diving race? All right the athletes are in place so, first we have representing team Generation 1, Blastoise and Gyarados! Representing team Generation 2 Lugia and Kingdra! Representing team Generation 3, we have Milotic and Gorebyss! Representing team Generation 4 we have the swim sprint Champion Floatzel and Empoleon! Representing team Generation 5 we have Samurott and Seismitoad and last but not least representing team Generation 6, we have Greninja and Barbaracle!

Our cameras will lose the athletes after the beginning but will pick back up soon after beginning. On your marks! Get set! Bang! The race had begun, Lugia was the first one to dive into the ocean with Gorebyss and Kingdra right behind him. The other Pokémon quickly dived. It didn’t take long for the first Pokémon to pass the underwater cameras. It was none other than Lugia and it was obvious that it had already created a lead it was a little while before the Gorebyss who was in 2^nd place passed the camera. Kingdra, Gyarados and Milotic all passed the line fairly close together all trying to catch up to the two Pokémon in front. Not too far behind them was Blastoise who was also diving really well and Empoleon was right with him. Bringing up the rare was Samurott, Floatzel Seismitoad Greninja and Barbaracle. Floatzel was struggling to get through the water pressure and Greninja was having more problems that him. Barbaracle was very inconsistent. Sometimes he was sinking fast other times he was trying to dive faster but all it did was slow him down. Samurott was constantly heading down. He was moving at around the same pace he had in the swim sprint race.

Lugia was going fast and his lead was growing, Gorebyss on the other hand didn’t have it so easy to hold on to 2^nd place. Kindgra was giving him a run for his money and wasn’t letting him out of his sights. They were neck and neck as they got closer to the ocean floor. Milotic was right behind them and not letting them get away even catching up to Kindgra however, this pushed Kindgra even harder which allowed him to catch back up to Gorebyss. Gyarados was going well and was catching up to Milotic and even managed to pass him taking 4^th place however Milotic picked speed and pushed pass Gyarados. Empoleon had pushed passed Blastoise and was trying to extend his lead however Blastoise dived faster and caught up to Empoleon and took a lead over empoleon. Empoleon was struggling to keep up with Blastoise new found speed and the gap grew dramatically between them. Floatzel was in 8^th place and was having a lot of trouble with the water pressure and he wasn’t the only one Greninja was floating around 10^th and 9^th racing with Samurott who was having a bit of trouble but was fighting through. Barbaracle was in 11^th but Seismitoad began swimming as hard as he could and managed to pass Barbaracle who was now in Last place.

Lugia stopped for one second before blasting forward again on the final stretch. It was over Lugia touched the Ocean floor first and waited to see who reached. The Race for 2^nd was heating up though, Gorebyss was flying towards the ocean floor and right behind him gaining fast was Kingdra. Gorebyss saw the ocean floor and you could somehow see the water Pokémon sweating under water as the gap between him and Kindgra was closing faster and faster as they approached the ocean floor. Gorebyss pushed and pushed but Kingdra just kept closing the gap it was then that Gorebyss crashed into the Ocean floor right ahead of Kindgra. It was close but he barely managed to hold off Kingdra who had taken third.

Milotic wasn’t too far behind them but Gyarados was right there trying his best to catch up to Milotic. Every time Gyarados caught up, Milotic pulled ahead but Gyarados kept coming. They raced hard down towards the end however, Gyarados couldn’t keep up as Milotic pushed ahead a bit more as he touched the ocean floor fourth. Gyarados finished 5^th very close to Milotic. Coming in next was Blastoise who was swimming by himself or so he thought until Empoleon caught up once more. Blastoise looked back and suddenly he began swimming harder and left Empoleon in its dust capturing the 6^th place position with Empoleon taking the 7^th position.

Floatzel was neck and neck with Samurott and Greninja. The three of them were fighting hard for the final event point position. Floatzel was pushing himself hard through the pressure but so was Samurott and Greninja. Floatzel was currently 8^th place, Greninja was 9^th and Samurott was 10^th but were neck and neck. Floatzel and Greninja soon pulled ahead as Floatzel stretched out his arm towards the ocean floor. Greninja swam harder and harder and it was very close but Floatzel had managed to edge out Greninja in the end taking the 8^th spot leaving greninja with 9^th. Coming in very close behind them was Samurott who picked up 10^th place.

Seismitoad who was in last for the most of this race had created a gap between him and Barbaracle and easily clinched 11^th leaving Barbaracle to pick up his second 12^th place in this competition.
