I got a 4TB one, wish I bought the one that didn't have to plug into the wall. Already 10.4% full, full list of Xbox One games in my sig that are using up that space

The ones that need an outlet are better. They have another power source other than USB so the transfer rates are better and the load times should be faster i imagine.

Really? If that's the case I don't feel as bad about the other brand. I just hate the extra wires as the whole Xbox One with the cable box looks like a massive fire hazard.

I just got a 5TB Seagate too. Moved all of my games to it then re-downloaded some of my deleted games and EA Access games to it. Took about a day or 2. I have 4.2TB left including the 500GB from the internal. I'm glad I don't have to worry about space ever again. And I can just bring my collection to a friend's house super easily.

I was getting tired of always having to delete something in order to install a new game. So I decided to slap a 5TB External HDD on top of my Xbone. I chose this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J0O5R2I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works straight out of the box, plug and play. A quick format and it was ready to go. Transferring games over is pretty quick too. My only gripe is that you have to go to each game one by one and transfer them.

I would have went with the 8TB one, but that bad boy is expensive and not a good value.

Anybody else add an external HDD to their Xbone? How's it working out for you?

Lol I use the same one for my XB1! 5 TB of space should last me forever!

It's not even a straight 500g either. Biggest disappointment from the new systems to me

There is also this attachment for the XB1. It connects to the side of it, but you can put a 2.5 hdd in there while also giving you 3 USB ports in the front. For people that want a cleaner look.

Do you notice that games load faster? I saw someone do a test, can't remember if it was the higher speed or not, but seemed like games loaded 30% faster.

Also, great buy. I am at 70% full on my launch 500GB and think it's going to be time soon.

But as games keep getting bigger, Ryse is 37GB on my system, and Star Citizen is like 100GB, and the way you buy, you might need another one in a few years. :p

It doesn't seem any slower I haven't really done a comparison.

I just love seeing how much free space I have left. After transferring over 500GB of content , I'm at 4% full.

Yup, as long as it's USB 3.0.

I've got a 2TB Samsung that sits on top of my XB1. It was £80 when I bought it but it's gone down now
