wonder why some people whine and hate seeing  today kids preferring tablet over 3DS, vita or PS4, Wii U and Xbox One. Why some people refusing DLC, update and fix a. Why some gamer whine about  people choose online game more then offline game or choosing more on line multiplayer then offline multiplayer. Why some gamers hate the fact that games like COD is dominating more then high quality games like Zelda and Mario or, people whine  about their RPG favorite is not the same any more  or game that resembles movie and QTE is more popular then standard game.

Maybe the people who whine and refusing is the older type gamer, the one who should have step back, and admitted this is not our generation anymore. Yet we might have not yet seeing the worst change in video games industry, one of it is game streaming, it will replace console and PC and handled, no more dedicated hardware, no more penis measurement when the consoles launched, and then  like it's likely VR or AR will be another mainstream or everything that unpredictable but will never satisfied older gamer and veteran who live in the old world.

just imagine if we live forever and being lonely in the world where everything has change, where everything is not make you happy anymore and seeing every worst possibility happen in the future on gaming Industry, most of you probably choose to quit playing video games and die. That's why i am glad i don't have to experience all those nightmare and i am glad that "I AM NOT IMMORTAL".

Gaming follows the market's demands, and as older people "grow out" of video games, the younger generation will make the decisions on what to play. Fortunately, the "older" market is much larger than it was before and will still have a voice strong enough to at least get some representation.

It's the natural progression of life. Time to not be selfish and let the kids have their turn.

Mankind will be dead within 50 years anyway so it's a good job no one's immortal.

agree gaming follows market demand but the biggest demand for gaming is not from older people but it come from teenagers or younger generation , the older will have another thing beside gaming and that's why it will be difficult for market to follow older gamer. Market will be bigger in term of variations and service but for older people playing video games will not be the same anymore.

Some game need to be played fresh from the oven , lol, but seriously most of games that had a lot expectation usually result disappointment for people who expecting too much and too long, because no one able to beat how good your expectation compared to reality. maybe not able to enjoy the games we wait will be the biggest flaw of not become immortal, but at the same time, it will be the biggest reason to avoid disappointment.
