Forums - Nintendo - Bet a lot of these "defective" Amiibos are fake

Tagged games:

My brother was patrolling ebay the other day, and so many of the "rare defective" amiibos I saw going for x3 normal price or more are suspicious as hell.

I swear one of them, a Peach, just had her pink dress painted red by the owner. Others looked as though they's just had pieces removed to raise their price.

It genuinely intrigues me what percentage are legitimately defective figures and how many have just been vandalized by the seller.

Surely defective ones wouldnt even make it past quality control department at factory especially such obvious faults as wrong coloured dress etc

If there's a demand for defective units, there'll be a supply. You are very right in being suspicious.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, how could such an enormous range and quantity of "defective" units slip through?

This whole thing has become a scalper's wet dream.

Somebody must have, cos I can't find them now...

The real question is, what's worse? The people selling these "defective" Amiibos at ridiculous prices, or the people buying these "defective" Amiibos at ridiculous prices...
