Either it will prove that great and compelling games can be made with zero content that can be alleged to be sexist. Or it will prove that she is shit at actually working on game content because her ideas and demands are simply unmarketable. Either way the industry gets to move on.

I support Anita Sarkeesian being on the dev team. Clearly she won;t be writing or directing or designing. She's obviously a "gender content" consultant. So in the end the elements of a game that are supposedly meant to be most important (gameplay) should not at all be influenced or affected by her. So why are people actually concerned? Is it just because they hate her? Yeah, I think it is.


Aaand Mirrors Edge was sexist in what way?

I don't know, I never played the game, and I never said the game had sexist tropes. I'm just saying, IF there would be some of that content in the new game, she'd try to avoid that.

So games are suddenly supposed to conform to the idea there are sexist tropes. Just cause a game features a sexual character, or a pair of exposed boobs, it is bad.

Then surely drunk middle aged men is a trope we should avoid. Black Gangsters too. Gay characters are becoming popular in gaming, get them out, too many of them.

Developers have stories to tell. Sometimes those stories are set in a world that feature sexualised women. We shouldnt rip out the sexual aspect just because other games have sexual content.

Otherwise gaming would be boring, because GTA would have no franklin (black gangster) and no trevor (drugged middle aged man)

Look, I assume the team hired her because they thought her input would be valid and could help them make the game the way they want to make it, otherwise she wouldn't a part of the team. What's the big deal?
