The Miis weren’t the only new characters announced for Smash Bros today. Straight from the Kid Icarus series, the Goddess Palutena is joining the battle!
Her moves seem to largely consist of the support powers from Kid Icarus Uprising, such as the Mega Laser, Counter or Heavenly Light. It makes sense that she would have these abilities, as it was Palutena who was lending Pit those powers in the first place. In this game, she looks to be a fast and well rounded character. She also attacks using a pair of angelic wings she seems to be able to spawn, and she runs by gliding along the ground. Like the other characters in the game she’ll likely be available as an Amibo, although her specific figurine has yet to be revealed.
What do you all think of this? Are you excited to see Palutena’s addition into the game? Does she look like a character you’ll be using? I know I’m excited! I loved Kid Icarus Uprising and I can never see that get enough love!
