Another one of my short reviews about one of my favourite games for the 3DS so far! This games was released for the 3DS on november 22. It's a sequel to A Link to the Past for the SNES.

Gameplay: The game controls perfectly, there is an item renting system to tackle the dungeons in any order you want. Whenever you dide you lose the rented items, but later in the game you can buy them permamently. This was a move to give more freedom to the player and it acomplishes it in a way. It is cool to have the option but it doesn't affect the overall experience. The only bad thing to say is that the game is quite easy, I dide twice in the whole game and got 100% in about 21 hours. Still, short but sweet.

Music: It was very good! It has some older tunes, and some new ones. Overall the music is pretty good and fits perfectly.

Story: The story was actually pretty good. There isn't much to it, but what little story we have, it's worth it. Some nice twists at the end!

Value:  With this game you get about 35+ hours of enjoyment because after the game is over you can play it again but in hero mode! It is significantly more difficult and I still didn't try it but it's worth giving it a shot! You also have a streetpass function where you play a shadow link of another player. It's a pretty cool addition!

TL;DR: Very good Zelda game, and one of the best games for the 3DS.

5 Stars

I want to make some lenghty thoughts about the game, but I haven't had the time do so.

For me this is basically the best handheld Zelda game by far, unfortuantely it has a "weak" story, but like you mentioned it really picks up at the end.

I'm still debating where should I put this in my list of favorite Zelda games, but is probably between number 3 and 4.

Was it any surpise that this would be the one ?

Afterall I don't remember any DS zeldas being great or even good either.

There are more handheld Zelda games than just the DS ones. Link's Awakening, Minish Cap, Oracle of Season and Oracle of Ages are all very good handheld Zelda games, but those games don't come close to ALBW.

I just brought up the DS ones because they were more recent.

seems like more of a description of the game than a review but a thorough review would be hard to do in this format

Once you get farther in the game you will se it's brilliance! The temples in the dark world are awesome, some really clever ideas where thrown there .

Once you get to the end you will like the story, it was a nice plot twist for a Zelda game. Really awesome! .

I would put it on par with A Link to the Past. Certainly the best handheld Zelda game. Even beating my previous favourite, Link's Awakening!

True, I don't really know how to review a game but I try to do my best xD. Being a short review as you said makes it kinda hard but I'll try to make it better next time. Thanks for the feedback though .

LOL... In a sense... I kinda agree with you .

Another cool thing about the game is that you can traverse the world map more smootlhy. There are a lot of warps to get to the dark world!
