So I don't know guys, I went from thinking "This is not as good as Galaxy 2." to "Shit this is on the same level as Galaxy 2!" to "Holy fuck I think I like this game better than Galaxy 2 now that I finished it!!!"

What the hell just happened this past week? lol. I mean, I still really love Galaxy 2, but this new one is even more charming and the level design and items are wicked as hell.

So what do you think about the game? Cause I can't believe how good this game is! It feels so weird for me to say that too! It feels like I'm betraying the Galaxies!

I mean I died and died on the last level for like 10 hours straight but I just kept going for the most part besides eating and taking a shower, it's like dying doesn't even effect my desire to want to play through this game at all and there was no level I really disliked either(unlike those damned spring levels in the Galaxies.....) This game is fucking amazing.

Well, I havn't played the game yet, so I can't give you my opinion. Though, I can't blame you for thinking it's better than Galaxy 2! From what I have seen and read, the game looks AMAZING! Can't wait to play it!

I'm with you on this one. I haven't finished the game yet. I'm on Star World right now, and I know there are other worlds after this one. I've been replaying the earlier levels this week-end, to get all the green stars, stamps, and top poles that I had missed the first time I went through them (I finished World Bowser with 208 stars and 40 something stamps). I now have the first 5 worlds completed, and each time I got into those levels again, they were still amazingly fun.

Have you tried the game with a friend or two? Multiplayer in that game is crazy fun!

Unfortunately my brother moved last month to another state, I was going to play it with him, he watched me play on twitch and said noway he can handle the later levels with me though lol, he's more a PC Shooter and MMORPG kinda guy. I've played the demo with other people though, so I know it's fun One thing I wish they had in this game is online MP for sure.

I always like 3D Land/World better than the Galaxy series. I'll give it another go though.

Am I the only one who prefered Galaxy 1 to Galaxy 2? O_o

Galaxy 2 was awesome, don't get me wrong, but it didn't have the novelty effect that the first title had. So it was a bit more of the same to me. Even though that "same" was from a game and concept that HAD to be revisited. =)

But the essence of your reply to Roma is still the same in my case. I could say the same thing. When they announced SM3DW and showed that gameplay footage, me being underwhelmed would be a huge understatement. But the more I saw of that game, over the months leading to its release, I got more and more hyped. Before Super Mario 3D World, Galaxy was my favourite game in the franchise, no contest there.  SM3DW managed to make me rethink that. Now, I'm not sure of anything. Maybe it's just the fact that 3D World is fresh right now. I'll be able to be impartial about this once I'm done with the game and return to Galaxy for a bit. Only then will I be able to pass a definite judgment.

But the fact that it's making me wonder about that is a testament to the incredibly high quality of the game.

I wonder if this can save the U...
