From GAF but I guess it is good news for all gamers.

Gamers currently without a Uplay Passport for Black Flag will be able to download one for free from Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. For those who have already purchased Uplay Passport for Black Flag, please contact your regional Ubisoft support.

What’s more, Uplay Passport will not be a part of any future Ubisoft games.

Well make the IGN article bull

And I can't see Ubisoft taking this decision after IGN or others article... this kind of decision is executive and have to be discussed in a lot of reunions before goes public.

They already was planning to do that.

So if i rent AC4 I can get those ships that need the pass? Sounds good to me. Ubisoft was becoming EA real fast.

What did you understand? Anybody can download for free the online pass for AC4... no future game will have online pass anymore... they just can't change the AC4 because it is already shipped... so they will give free pass for everybody.
