Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One voice command weren't in real time

"Most of us tuned in to the Xbox One reveal on Tuesday night. Being a live conference, anything can go wrong. So it's almost acceptable that 90% of the voice commands during the Xbox One reveal weren't performed based on what what Yusuf Mehdi was saying. Look at the IGN video below (skip to 1:39:00 or click here) and notice that anytime Yusuf begins talking about an Xbox One voice command, his left hand automatically goes into his pocket, presumably to press a clicker to proceed to a new slide or something similar (unless he's playing one-handed ping-pong if you know what I mean)."

This makes me wonder did they even have a working console on the show floor!

Meh, the responses from the Xbox ONE were. It was a live event after all. TV to a game will still only take a second or so. Still impressive hardware, no matter how it's spun.

A clicker controller confirmed!!

It was in real time for all those people watching the reveal on their 360s who had their systems hijacked.

lol at least it is better than showing something that does not work. Ahem skyword sword press conferenece

lol i want that clicker too...

lol. i mean common. they have two opportunites if they don't want to show it live because anything could go wrong:

- take that clicker in your hand and tell people "sorry, but because all the stuff in here we have to click".
- give that goddamn clicker to someone who sits in the back.

but that's just hilarious.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

I thought it was like magic...

Agreed, that is what they should have done. Then again, it's all just speculation and the responses from the Xbox ONE were in fact real... but yeah, again, the back would have been a better option.

oh, faking at live-events? who thought of that? btw, obama reads his statements, he doesn't talk free... :)
I am fine with that. They will still be measured on what they showed and they know that. Better play safe before it gets embarassing on stage.

They did this with the 1st Kinect when the guy was demonstrating star wars Kinect.
