Tagged games:

What is being called “the first ever blood filled swimming pool” has been opened by Capcom near London’s Olympic Stadium.

The pool is 16ft by 32ft large and over one metre deep. It houses around 55,000 gallons of water – the equivalent to the blood of 11,327 people.

It comes with floats in the form of human torsos, brains and intestines as lane markers and zombie lifeguards. There’s also bloody bandages, eyeballs, tendrils and blood clots floating about in the water.

Those brave enough to venture to the bottom of the pool may also find collectible merchandise that they’re free to keep.

Towels are provided but those who prefer their material to be free of blood splatter are advised to bring their own. Goggles are available to loan.

The facility will be open to the public on the 25th and 26th of May and can be found in Jupiter Wharf, London E3 2PL. It’s only open to those aged 16 and over. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Free tickets can be obtained here from Monday May 20th. There are only 100 available for each day.

Why, you may ask? It’s all to mark the launch of Resident Evil Revelations on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC on May 24th.

“Capcom are thrilled to able to create the world’s first blood swimming pool,” Capcom’s UK PR manager Adam Merrett stated. “Zombies have been kept very busy lately doing a variety of PR stunts, so rather than do the expected, we wanted to give them some time off for canal side relaxation in London.

“To non-zombies, the swimming pool will be shocking, gory and an incredibly disturbing experience – the perfect way to show that survival horror is back with a bang for Resident Evil Revelations”.

Capcom last year opened the world’s first human butchery in London.

This is not how you spend your marketing dollars.

At all.

Sounds like the EA "Antichrist" marketing or Dead Island's LE figurine.

Yeah this isn't going to end well...
