So I was looking at the news of Capcom for the last few bits, I find it very funny how for one financial, they'll say they're going to do one thing, and then completely change for the next.  At first "We need to stop focusing on many titles and just invest in key titles".  They did that, bet everything on Resident Evil 6 (Which I loved by the way) and when that game couldn't sell a billion copies (Seriously, any game selling 5 million units should make any company jump for joy) they couldn't make money.  Then after that "We're going to start investing in many games now", and sales come back bad again.  They cancel these "many" games and are now gonna focus on downloads and DLC, which is after the fact that Darkstalkers collection tanked (Seriously people go and buy the damn collection.  Get the Marvel Origins collection while you're at it, Marvel Superheroes is one of the best fighters made).  So who else thinks that Capcom needs to start firing their execs, vps and CEO?  Can Capcom be saved?

I think you mean "Darkstalkers collection", not "Darksiders collection".

Add me! :)

Oh, that title was your words and not theirs. I was getting ready to praise them for their self-awareness.

But yeah, it's a terrible strategy. Sega said the same thing when they restructured. "Going forward we're banking on Sonic, Football Manager, Total War, and Aliens." Look how that worked out.

Variety and new IP is the lifeblood of gaming, and if every publisher retreats to making only a few franchises that all seem to chase the same trends (i.e., E3 2012 - "everything was Uncharted") then traditional gaming will die a death.

Corrected

I really think they need to stop putting business men in charge of game companies. Square Enix, EA, Capcom; they're all run by people who don't know games and they're in financial trouble.

I think Square-Enix too

I wish they actually said this
