I just think it's weird that your eight years older than him, I'm not trying to offend you and I agree with this post. Although I do have big gaps in my family, like my brother being over 20 years older than my half-sister.

What a sight that must be! But if you see him with booze, you should just snatch it off him, and pour it down the sink. To your question: How long have you been in their lives? That and you only being 8 years older than him goes a long way in how much respect you'll get from him imo. Does he have aunts, uncles, grandparents that could help you guys out? Don't answer the next one if you feel it's too much info, but why is he in therapy? Is it a serious problem, or do you think it's because he's a privileged fuck up and his mom thought it would help somehow?
