Heck yeah, Dota FTW!
Nintendo and PC gamer
I'm actually a little surprised by this. LoL still seems far more popular on streaming sites like twitch.tv. Typically LoL doubles Dota 2 viewership on a regular basis.
I seriously doubt their data.
Dota 2 is clearly harder, less friendly, not even released (you have to really want it to seek out a key), and is identical to Dota 1, which was also free (WC3 is free). Their streams on Twitch usually have 1/2 - 1/3 of the viewers. Dota's main market, China, has not really switched over yet.
I doubt it, the dota 2 scene is not even half of the LOL scene right now
Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
PLEASE, that article is completely false and has absolutely ZERO credibility. Don't fall for it. Another fake article like this one was popping up today.
LoL has an average on 5 MILLION users on at once- Dota2 has an average of 300,000- it doesn't even come close.

and yet we couldn't even get together 5 people for a VGchartz ranked team...
Laughable report by DFC (the article on Gamesindustrybiz btw is now updated disputing these claims).
Last time I was at my local internet gaming café in February, over 20 out of 30 people there were playing LOL. Nobody was playing Dota 2.
