Guys, I think this is an interesting read.

Criterion games talks about which compromises had to be made to make the PS Vita version run well. Digital Foundry compares PS Vita version to PS3 version and the result is quite impressive indeed - while obviously the Vita version is inferior, it still looks very good.

The most interesting thing is, if the Vita can run an open world late-generation game, imagine how many quality ports it could get, considering it has received big titles like Mortal Kombat, NFS, Sonic All Stars, etc. Vita has great potential.

The Vita version buildings look like card board cut-outs:

This isn't that great of a game on Vita anyway. It could do far better. However I'm pretty sure developers will stop making Vita ports once the PS4 is out. Why bother?

Sigh. I can see where this has gone already.  But it's a good article so thanks for posting, it's impressive that they've managed to fit a console open world racer onto a portable. I haven't picked it up though, it's hard for me to play racers without a wheel now.

Sure, Vita can run the game, but Wii could also run Call of Duty and Dead Rising, even with inferior graphics. Anyway, Vita version looks like a late-gen Xbox 1 game, which is very impressive for a handheld console.

The graphics. Compared to other ports even.

Looks pretty underwhelming in my opinion, like a high res PSP game. The Vita is capable of far more on paper.

Anyone who owns a Vita KNOWS that impressive graphics are no big deal for the handheld, it is just gorgeous. Being pretty is no problem for the Vita, and that is not the reason why the console doesn´t sell.

well the article pretty much says it all. the sacrificied the graphics in order to make the game run. the game is pretty much the same except for the graphics of course. the world is pretty big so its actually an accomplishment that they managed to pull this off with only sacrificing the games looks.
