Overview
This was something of a surprisingly active month, despite the net loss of a few voters.
PS3/PS4
As per usual, the leader this month was the PS3, with about a third of the pont total. The usual suspects, including exclusives like The Last of US, God of War: Ascension, Beyond: Two Souls and multiplatform titles like Bioshock Infinite and GTA 5, were all present. The real story of the month, however, was the introduction of a new platform: the PlayStation 4. True, it was a modest debut, with only 10 points spread across 10 titles, including the multiplatform Watch Dogs. However, this number will surely grow this next month, as more PS3 titles come out and all voters have knowledge of PS4 titles.
Handhelds
The 3DS and Vita are usually separate categories in these things, but this month was remarkable. Each platform had exactly 147 points. For the 3DS, this was a sort of letdown, though last month's strong Fire Emblem showing made this month almost doomed to disappoint. The Vita, on the other hand, went up a whopping 96 points! Even more surprising is that this charge was mostly led by already known titles.
Almost half of 3DS points came from votes for Pokemon X/Y, the second highest sku this month. The Vita, on the other hand, got many points from more titles, including Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice, and Killzone. However, it's worth noting that Nintendo had a larger number of smaller upcoming titles, making them on par with the Vita. Also, it's worth noting that those top 3DS and Vita games were all first party. The highest rated 3rd party Vita game, Ys, is in fourth place for the Vita, while Monster Hunter 4 is in 3rd for the 3DS.
Wii U
The Wii U's big news of the month was supposed to be the loss of Rayman Legends. However, the game was delayed a couple of weeks before release, meaning that the game still appears on this list, albeit with less points. Therefore, the Wii U had a modest decline. 1st Party games Pikmin 3 and X led the pack with over 30 points each. The only notable 3rd party game was Monster Hunter 3U, but a number of Nintendo-published games like Lego City and The WOnderful 101 also appeared, as did 1st party games like Wind Waker HD and unnamed installments in the Smash Bros and Zelda franchises. Still, the 3DS seems to be in need of some announcements for its future health.
360
The 360 only lost about one ballot worth of votes, but with only 58 points this month, it honestly couldn't afford to lose that much. No 360 game appears in the top 20, and the only notable exclusive is Gears of War Judgement. This console needs either announcements or a sucessor ASAP.
PC
The PC lost a few points, but still mantained its position as a reliable platform on VGChartz with over 100 points. Notably, exclusives like SimCity and Starcraft 2 expansions did quite well, in addition to a number of smaller titles. However, the big scorer of the month, Bioshock Infinite, is a multiplatform game.
