Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo going free-to-play?

Tagged games:

Really a non-article (not blaming you, pezus, but rather Eurogamer). When asked, Iwata basically said "ehh. Now take a look at what we're actually doing right now, which has little enough to do with the question."

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Around the Network

I remember when some were suggesting that Animal Crossing would be the perfect title to be F2P ( http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/3DS/Animal+Crossing%3A+New+Leaf/feature.asp?c=46063 ). It would be the worst and destroy the series. Imagine having to pay 2 dollars to complete a set that they deliberately keep a piece out of it to force you to buy if you want a completed set. F2P in a collection game (like Animal Crossing) would just nickel and dime the fans to death. Sure perhaps a new IP could be made with F2P in mind but I just don't like F2P games. I will gladly pay the money for any game if it is deemed worthy of purchase.

Well, there's something not to be looking forward to.

Silly Pezus, Nintendo don't make new IPs, so if they're only ever going to implement F2P in new IPs, that means they never will.

This article feels like Nintendo acting like Stuart from Mad TV.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
