Namco Bandai 'blown away' by interest in Project X Zone

A lot of people in the states are hoping to see Project X Zone get localized. We still don't know if that will happen, but it seems that all of our attention to the game has caught the eye of Namco Bandai. Here's what Namco Bandai Games Community Strategist, Rich Bantegui had to say...

...just like my recent answer - I havent heart any news. But im blown away by the amount interest in the title.

Let's hope that wave of interest is making the parties involved strongly consider a localization, even if it is a huge undertaking. Thanks to VGAMER for the heads up.

I really don't see how it will be too difficult to localise. From what I saw, all the IPs used are wholly owned by Namco, Capcom and Sega, all of whom have prominent western establishments. So as long as all of them are okay with their IPs being used in west for this game (which I don't see why they wouldn't be), Namco can just go ahead and publish it over here. Plus I think all the characters featured in this game have had western releases through their respective titles.

So yeah, hopefully we'll see it here. This is nothing like the Jump Ultimate Stars game where the publisher didn't actually own the rights to the characters used in the game, and hence it would have been too complicated to localise in the west given a lot of those characters were unrecognised in the west.

And Im blown away they are blown away that we are interested in seeing Legacy characters get together in a JRPG showdown. They are so clueless

Why are they blown away? There was a gigantic effort in Namco x Capcom, why wouldn't there be for an even bigger crossover on a new handheld?

I'm telling you right now. I'll buy this game the same day it releases when its localized. pre-order or special edition, I'll get it.

simply because I'm a fan of One Piece.
