Heroes Of Ruin Sales Were Very Disappointing

N-Space studio co-founder, Dan O’Leary, has admitted that sales for Heroes of Ruin for the Nintendo 3DS were nothing short of disappointing. O’Leary said that there’s very little chance that we will ever see a sequel to the game, which received an average Metacritic score of 69%. Here’s what he had to say about the game, and the Nintendo 3DS.

“We’re not satisfied with the sales. The 3DS attach rate is… challenging at best and it seems that, for all its promise, Heroes of Ruin did not appeal to enough of the installed base.”

“I am super pleased with what we made and would love to return to the genre one day, but I fear that Heroes did not have enough commercial impact to justify a sequel.”

I tried the demo and didn't even bother to finish the demo before deciding it was crap.

This game never deserved a sequel. Ugliest game on 3DS.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The game is good, if only was more challenging
And it does look good at times
i would give it a 6/10
A REAL six

I liked Heroes of Ruin

But it could look a little better (not better graphics - they are very nice, imo)... but style - I was expecting gyromancer character design when I bought this game, but it's very far from that.

And release the damn thing in japan too, Square, jeez!

The game had zero advertising and its a niche genre on consoles
it is also highly priced
Its also not been released in Japan (i dont know wht tbh)

This game could have sell much better, it was poorly managed by SE, theres really nothing wrong with the game

I wonder if they will keepndoing the weekly updates like they said? This is typical of 3rd party devs. Put a mediocre game on a Nintendo system and watch it crash and burn. You would think Nintendo would know their tricks by now.

Oh please. Here is a game from a genre that is rarely seen on portables, they try to give 3ds something different and it didnt work out, tell you what when all we get on 3ds is imaginez babyz, dora, brain age clones, and all kinds of other crap dont complain. Hell RE Revelations isnt doing to hot either, but that must have been "mediocore" too.

No that is just Westerners who are still under hyped for the 3DS even after all Nintendos ploys.

Well then whats the answer?? I dont have it, cause it looks like for the time being we're only buying Ninty games over here and if that trend continues to happen we can kiss whatever 3rd party games  we were going to receive good bye and that goes for japan centric games as well. I hate using RE, but there is a game that most agree was well made and good including me and im not even a fan. But i havent seen that game in the top 100 since the debut, people are buying 3dss but not that game. SOmething is up, maybe im just being silly and it'll get support regardless just like every other ninty home portable

This game didn't even deserve a sequel thread.
