Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Download Will Be Cheaper Than Retail

Not happy about the file size

But will come with a hefty file size

Namco Bandai is set to make the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 available both physically and digitally on launch day in Japan, according to a report on Siliconera.

However, the game will be cheaper if you decide to download it from the Wii U eShop. In stores, the fighter will set gamers back 6,980 Yen, whereas a digital copy will be 6,280 Yen. That's a good sign, right?

What's interesting about the digital copy is the file size. It'll take up a whopping 16.7 GB of HDD Space; if you purchase the Premium console, that's just over half of your precious space gone.

It's still questionable whether this policy of cheaper retail downloads will make it outside of Japan, with 3DS eShop retail games in Europe, for example, typically more expensive than their boxed counterparts. If this pricing does come to the West, though, will you be tempted into more downloads? We may need to buy a hard drive sooner than we thought.

im a collector so this is not for me

Me gusta.

Plan is to buy everything digital next year. Hope the 3DS follows suit with all games, same as Wii U (and vita).

well if the game is 7 euro cheaper digital, then i might reconsider my posture

So there goes 50% of your premium storage memory

Is TTT2 only one disc on 360? What's the call for the size being that big?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Good that the Game is only 30 pounds in the UK so I will order it from there. I am talking about the retail version. Will be my first tekken ever. Im more of a DOA and SoulCalibur guy.

I hope the new DOA comes to WiiU   you know with  "touch" mode etc ;)

Just use a USB hard drive if you don't want to use up your main system space.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Damn, 16.7GB is massive! Especially for a fighting game. Double especially cuz it's downloadable!

In a future where data caps are most likely going to be put in effect even for home internet (currently in testing with comcast in the US) I can see this is not going in a good direction.

Just did a Google search for the torrent of PS3 version, and it appears to be 17.08Gb, Xbox 360's version uses 8.14Gb
