Observations:

Resident Evil is much bigger than FF now (and the difference will probably augment with RE6).

Sega rocks more than I thought.

PES can suck my d*ck because it was a pain to track.

Japan is the king of fighting games and these sell very well still, better than I thought.

Gran Turismo 5 will soon be 10th in the general ranking and 1st in the non-Nintendo one.

PES is in steep decline since 2008 (PES 2009).

Nintendo dominates pretty much.

The only non-Nintendo franchises to chart in the first list are the big 4: RE, GT, FF and MGS. These are by far the healthiest 3rd party franchises in Japan WW. Oh, and the Olympic games ones...

I like this Nintendo dominated japan lol. I think resident evil is so much higher than ff because of the gold edition and the dlc.
