Kazunori Yamauchi have a press Q&A session in China Joy this week (the biggest game event in Asia).

Gran Turismo 6 - Yamauchi said that he's been working on the framework for the game since immediately after work on GT5 finished. He later added regarding GT6, "We're always aiming for the latest technology and the latest expression."

Gran Turismo Vita - "If we were to make it, we'd like to make use of the ability to play anywhere and the ability to use 3G at any time."

Shanghai Circuit - Yamauchi said that he was scheduled to visit the circuit the following day (7/27) and would be considering what elements could be used in a game.

MOD-like functionality in GT5 - "If we can find a good balance, we'd like to increase the areas where users can make modifications."

PS. Nice to see everyone talking about Gran Turismo this week.

Wait a minute isn't 3G pretty much useless when it comes to playing a Vita game online. Also isn't the 3G model being discontinued it sure looks like its so in the US.

Scoreboard on the go? I'd pay $30/month just for that.

And the amazing use of Facebook?

GT 3- Spec was my only GT game in my gaming life. I played it with ps2 controller and did not have any fun (May be I was a fan of unrealistic racers like NFS). I did not have money to buy racing wheels then. So, my question to Ethomaz and other GT fans, is it fun to play GT5 with regular ps3 controller? How about PSP GT game, that is similar to regular controller too.

I like it, it's just that, unlike arcade racers like Need for Speed, you have to slow down to a crawl to make a turn. Once you get used to that you should be good.  I personally had the same problems you did, with GT.

Hopefully we get GT6 before 2018.

I use a dual shock for GT5 and I like it, but I definitely see the appeal and need for a racing wheel. The DS3 controller is actually a lot better than the old dual shocks in terms of racing games, because the L2 and R2 buttons give a lot more acceleration and braking control.

I actually used to hate racing sims and I only played arcade racers back in the day. Now I can't stand arcade racers (karting racers not included).

I am the Playstation Avenger.
