God Eater 2 Resurfaces

Sequel still set for PSP; big surprise coming this Fall.

Maybe it won't look so... Type-0... anymore.

Namco Bandai has finally restarted its promotional push for God Eater 2. Famitsu has a five page look at the sequel this week.

There have been a few changes since we last saw the game. While the platform is still PSP, the visual style has been redone.

Famitsu has a lot of teaser details. The game will have lots of new elements, most of which are being kept secret for now. Among the secret new elements is a new type of multiplayer play.

Even more mysteriously, Famitsu says to expect a major surprise this Fall.

Famitsu lists God Eater 2 with a 2012 release time period.

Around the Network

I can understand why they kept this on the PSP - due to the install base being so much higher and also that the game was already deep in development for the console so would have cost more to switch platform - but this is a bit of a blow for Sony since this could have helped shift consoles in an area where the PSV is doing a lot worse than it should be...

Not surprising to me. Sony is known to be keeping their consoles alive as long as possible. Good for those who don't own multiple consoles and therefore get support on their console for a long time.

I remember back in the day when I was undecided whether to get a ps2 and xbox, I chose ps2 and I still play it. In holidays, ps2 rocks with its wrestling games and those 'cheap' controllers (my cousins break controllers every now and then :P).

the first game was pretty awesome, its kinda like Monster Hunter but with characters and interesting plot/ setting,so i am hoping i can play this one as well.
