I hoped that TLoU would be single player only but alas, it seems the game will be jumping on the MP bandwagon.

On the plus side, it seems the single player will remain single player. Which is a saving grace I guess.

Yep, it was revealed via one of the first interviews they did when the game was revealed..i think it was Gameinformer who had the info

I'm not worried at all tbh...I absolutely love UC3 mp...and looks like these guys are taking their own sweet time with this title...I'm sure it will be a great mp AND a Sp experience. 

The question is what kind of a mp it would be! my hope? The exact opposite of modern day MP...give extremely lil amount of ammo and other things to defend yourself and your team mates. Would be intense and will need some real thinking.
