I noticed something this early at this years E3, some games really look like each other, there is no variation. Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell, Resident Evil 6 all had either QTEs, cover system or sort of Uncharted gameplay.

Ofcourse there are differences, but I can't but feel that many games are inspired by the Uncharted series. Its not a bad thing, but it wouldve been better if RE6 was a true survival horror game, and Splinter Cell sticking to its roots from the first 3 games.

Uncharted is no longer as unique as it was when part 2 released. But thats the price you pay for success.

That was one of the things i noticed first when i watch this e3. Well its unbelivable how many games inspired by uncharted. Splinter cell, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Lost Planet 3 they all makes me feel watching Uncharted 3.5 but all dissapoints ( only Tomb raider doesnt dissapoint )

What? Uncharted was inspired by Indiana Jones, not Tomb Raider. It has almost nothing in comon with Tomb Raider.

Linear games sell, so linear games are cloned.

huh, none of the things you mentioned are innovations introduced by uncharted. But yes all the games do look very similar.

uncharted is no was is a tomb raider clone ... it innovated on the ideas in tomb raider and one upped it.

from what i've seen .. tomb raider has certainaly at least caught up if not surpassed uncharted's gameplay.  it was that fucking awesome!

Well Uncharted comes from Resident Evil 4, so I think we should call it the RE4ization of modern games as it is truly the basis for most modern day games... especially 3rd person ones.
