Can't say I'm hugely familiar with this sort of legislation that is being written in America, but it they aren't alone in trying to do this. Although the below article is dated 1st April, it unfortunately wasn't a joke.

I will totally show up to defend myself.



Another one of those things that could be handily struck down by the Supreme Court as soon as some corporate or government entity uses it to trample someone's first amendment rights, and less pervasive because who knows how much cybersnooping is being done already that we don't know about?

It's a bad step forward, but not a game-changer for the worse, i think.
