zarx said: mmm tasty quote "On these courses at least, there's a pretty strong argument that Forza has considerably more track detail" are you sure you don't want a bite? How about a nibble? A nibble won't hurt your image ; ) |
You wanna see some fanboy skills? I call your bet and raise you this:
"The overall impression we get from playing both games back-to-back is that... Polyphony... remains second to none."
Third last paragraph of the article. It's written clear as day (or night... or rain... or snow... or dirt).

Oh that quote is taken out of context. When referrin to GT5 being number 1, they purely and only refferred to types of driving and usable headlights.
Forza 4 WON head to ead tecnical capabilities. Much less screen tear than GT5 2.0. No framerate drop against alot of framerate drop in GT5 2.0. And to finish it off they categorically call out GT5 2.0's lack off track detail inn comparison.
Visually Forza 4 clearly won the head to head. Its quite obvious in their side by side video to.
Pretty much the gameplay stuff is personal opinion. But the actual ech part of DF clearl has Forza 4 coming out on top. To be honest after playing it for the last 20 odd hours it was easy to see. Alot of the timee te damn thing looks real. The ligting phenominal.
The best technical achievement Ive seen this gen. Not only does it do 60fps like Rage but has amazing lighting and huge amounts of detail. Its definately my number 1 show off HDTV game.
The only time DF realy mention Forza 4 in any sort of technical bad light is onl a suggestion or Guess. They say because theres no day and night, it couuld suggest that the environments have baked lighting. And the emperative word being suggest. They do not make tat a fact. Its almost like they are trying hard to give GT5 something in the tecnical department.
My TV has never displayed a game so beautiful. And I'm loving it.
