I am not surprised. I have already seen adverts for the game in TV. A little bit early for my taste, but I hope Nintendo knows what they are doing.

To be sold the 17th? It says the 13th on VGC, which i cross-checked on wikipedia and amazon

don't scare me like that

But anyway, i had handily assumed that this game would be overshadowed by Kart 7. Not sure why

the are some ads in the UK as well, and pre-orders and stuff

seems like a lot of promotion from Ninty, not like they have any other choice, 3DS depends on the 2 first 3DS Mario launches



don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

By year's end I would hope that both games can sell three million copies worldwide.


At first I thought 3 million might be a little high.  However, I believe that even 4 million for each is possible if they can crank out enough copies.  You almost have me scared right now because I remember a few holiday seasons back when Mario Kart Wii was scarce in the Austin, Texas region.  I believe I might have to get a 3DS before Black Friday.

MK will sell a lot by the year's end... not sure if 4 million is possible though. That's a lot of games! But i predict around 2/2.5 million for Super mario land

You must mean the other way around. It's November 18th in Europe, the same day as Skyward Sword. If a date doesn't fall on a Friday, then it's wrong for Europe anyway.

This game looks like a lot of fun, and the Tanooki suit is a nice nostalgic easter egg thrown in. It'll no doubt move some big numbers, but I doubt it'll even touch the massive success of the true classic Mario games like NSMB.
