Forums - General - Where does God come from?

Ancient Aliens. I love the show. I'm Catholic, still claim i am at least, but I do recognize all theories from different perspective. Like the show says, all cultures who have Gods, have them coming from the skies, and even making contact with humans. Thats from ancient Egypt, to Greek mythology, to the Christian God. IMO It's the same God, in different generations of people and cultures. Angels and sub gods are also extraterrestrials.

Heaven also links up to this in my beliefs.

To add to the God is not part of the physical world. I also believe this. It's my own explanation to why the Universe is the way it is. We may discover a planet with life but it would be thousands if not millions of light years away. We cannot visit other than the use of wormholes, which is a whole other topic i won't get into. God is a more of a spiritual being, Heaven exists somewhere out in the universe, and you can only get there, when you, yourself, are in spirit also.

Thank you! And now that someone has posted I will do my theory.

He and Satan were battling wizards in another world or dimension. The planet was horrible so God left the dimension with what ever powers he had, Satan his rival wizard followed him through the portal or wormhole whatever. They battled , he and his minioins lost. Done. Even if you believe in him he had to come from somewhere? Supposedly there was a battle before creation with satan.
Or who is to say creation was literally 7 days? Maybe 7 billion years to make it go with science and in that time he had lots of creations, including evil angels?

With all good, theres some evil.

It really makes you think, doesn't it?

I don't really believe, I think people just imagined it (like the greek/roman gods...etc) + it's more comforting to believe in heaven/eternal life so people stick to it even today

My answer: Peoples' imaginations

Deuteronomy 33:27

 27 The eternal God is your refuge,
      And underneath are the everlasting arms;
      He will thrust out the enemy from before you,
      And will say, ‘Destroy!’

Jeremiah 10:10

Psalm 90:2
2 Before the mountains were brought forth,
         Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
         Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
10 Butthe LORD is the true God;
      He is the living God and the everlasting King.
      At His wrath the earth will tremble,
      And the nations will not be able to endure His indignation.

Psalm 102:25-27
 25 Of old You laid the foundation of the earth,
         And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
 26 They will perish, but You will endure;
         Yes, they will all grow old like a garment;
         Like a cloak You will change them,
         And they will be changed.
 27 But You are the same,
         And Your years will have no end.

Revelation 22:13

13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

The point is God is forever, where did he come from? That's not a question that you ask about God. God has always been there.

20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[c] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[d] unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

I want to highlight this verse

23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

That's whats going on here, just instead of a bird or four-footed animal... it's an "alien".  Thanks for reading

G-d Bless, and accept G-d

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.

LOL just an observation but I have noticed you say this exact same line in almost every Theism/Atheism/Religious/theological debate type thread.

Its just funny now that I expect that same phrase from you each time. :)
