PS3 just 249US/249EUR/24900yen right now,will MS do something after Sony's announcement?when and how much?discuss and predict it

If they do, it'll be mid September at TGS. This is when the new dashboard is rumoured to launch so the new consoles (matte 250) will ship with these, maybe new bundles of some sorts, and the cut just before Gears on the 20th.

Seems to allign well. If they don't cut in September I can't see them cutting at all, and I'm not sure how they'll outsell PS3 this year WW like they claim.

Perhaps they're talking shipments though, as they're already 500k ahead.

I know they don't, but they probably want it that way.

I could see them making a cut on kinect, but a global price cut seems unncessary. It could really only help them in Europe.

I agree on the timing, but think TGS is a poor venue considering the Xbox 360's smallest/weakest market is Japan.

I predict an announcement in a few weeks after MS has a chance to see the effect of the PS3 price cut, still before Gears 3 definitely.

doubt they'll cut it right ways, give 'em 3-4 weeks to judge the ps3's performance and then they'll make a decision on if they will follow suit or not.
