"We've been a bit quiet lately.  As always, we learn a lot whenever we put something out and get feedback from you all.  Showing Dota 2 to the world at The International gave us a lot of feedback to chew through, and many recenty forum threads talking about the information leaking out of the beta has added to the pile.  After a bunch of thinking, we've decided to change our plans a little."

I'm getting pretty pumped, but I would have rather seen some actual gameplay.

You only have around 35 hours to wait for that, the trailer is mainly promoting the gameplay revealing tournament.

Does anyone know if the those teams have the game to practise with or what? will the tournament be the first time they playing the game?

They were all invited to and have been participating in the DOTA 2 beta which has been ongoing for quite a while now.
