Update: I have decided to give 800 MS points or a $10 PSN card (sorry Wii only users, I don't know how to get you guys anything) every 3 months to the person who I feel has consistantly had the best reviews in my threads. Hopefully this will inspire even more great reviews in these threads. Your reviews start to count on April 29th 2011 so the person with the best reviews will win at the end of July.

Pros -- Epic opening scene, some good voiceovers, decent graphics.

Cons -- some bad voiceovers, annoying random battles, story is somewhat confusing.

Next game is Super Mario Galaxy 2

First game I'd buy if I had a 360. Still very tempted by it. It has a very rare combat system this gen and for that reason it's one of my most wanted game on the 360.

The Game ff13 should have probably been. Its got strong, if unorginal, gameplay and story with some really touching moments. Most certainly the strongest 360 title. 

While it plays the JRPG tropes straight and with quality, it deviates little from the established genre. So it lacks originality and can get boring if you've played a lot JRPGs.

Never had the chance to go back and finish but I really love it. as soon as my 5 week summer course is over, I'll get back to it.

I'm a sucker for old school RPGs, and this game was a love letter to all us old schoolers in a generation that would become lacking in quality for the genre.

I loved the dreams. They were usually long to read but they always had a twist and a moral to them- acompanied by sound effects and music. At times, it was like reading that thrilling chapter in a standard 15-16 chapter book.

Semi open world. That's the one thing I need in a RPG. I'm the kind of guy who can piss of 5-6 hours a day doing nothing but mini-games and sidequests in games (that's why I love Yakuza 3 and 4 so much).

The story was a breathe of fresh air. When I got to the end of disc one and the plot finally sunk in, I was blown away. It was really touching, and Kaim went from this unlikeable douche-bag to this awesome 1000 year old hero. I took his silence for arrogance, when he was really this wise character who only said what had to be said.

This is a personal opinion, but random battles and turned-based battle systems will always win my heart over. So that was a big plus for me.

I'm sure I can say more, but that's enough for someone who hasn't finished the game.
