Forums - Gaming Discussion - Kojima hiring for "next gen MGS series"

Eurogamer

Kojima Productions is hiring for "Next Generation Metal Gear Solid Series Production Staff".

The job listing on Konami's Japanese website (spotted and translated by Andriasang) is sure to interest fans of the long-running stealth series.

The programming category asks for people with experience on "PC/PS3/Xbox360". Under the graphics listing, KP asks for those who are interested in conducting research into next generation CG.

2008's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Will Metal Gear Solid 5 be a multiplatform release?

In October last year game developer legend and MGS creator Hideo Kojima tweeted: "Had our first meeting for the next 'A HIDEO KOJIMA GAME' with the core team members today. Some member are also participating on 'RISING' so 10 people total this time. We will have a meeting every morning to discuss planning, testing, research, and scouting. An open environment to talk about important issues and share our dreams and concept for the project."

Was he talking about Metal Gear Solid 5? In July Kojima said in an interview: "For the next game I make, it's either MGS5 or an original game. I only have these two choices."

Conegamer - I say that the PS3 will beat the DS next week in Japan  (for hardware sales) Forfeit is control over others avatar for 1 week.

PS4 launch title and exclusive

It probably will be multiplat which is always a good thing for sales.

I do wish they would let the series rest peacefully though.

Yup, and "Ninja Theory" is the best example for that.

Xbox Exclusive Metal Gear Solid Collection... With the MGS5 Demo!

All signs point towards this, you can't downplay it. Here is a picture of Kojima when he actually revealed the game.

Blame the marketing team. Games like CoD,AC,GTA4, etc. wouldn't do nearly as much if they were exclusive compared to multiplat

Sounds like MGS5 going on 3DS.

So long Sony boys!  MGS will finally give M$ boys a run 'joy ride.'

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

Now that's true , these titles are  very remarkable and have a huge fanbase on both sides , but what about the titles that aren't that huge , being exclusive creats some kind of hype / anticipating for the game and , most of the times , deliver a better experience , any new/not huge IP needs that.

Marketing can't do miracles , If you like add 500K to Enslaved sales due to really good marketing campaign.. still too low and not anywhere near Heavenly sword ( which wasn't profitable for NT by the way ). What I'm saying being multiplat not always better for sales , it just might be.
