Please if you havent played Halo, dont vote. It would be nice to have genuine opinions on Halo of people that have played them.

Halo for me was the game that made me come away from PC upgrades and general PC gaming. The last Pc game I bought was MOH : AA. I loved it. I went to my friends to see what the whole Xbox was about. Needless to say I bought an Xbox the week after and became addicted to Halo. For me it was the best FPS I had played up till recently.

10/10 from me.

Awwww.. I wanted to give it a 9.5 / 10...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

10/10 - Halo:CE was amazing. Whereas its predeccessor's have often felt like they fell short on the single player, Halo:CE was the complete package.... every area of it was 10/10. I wasn't into console shooters... at ALL... and then, same old story, I played Halo at a friend's house, and had to get an xbox for it. Those years are a blur of taking my xbox everywhere to play with friends, set up LAN parties, etc. I'd never had a console game before, and never since that literally everyone I know who didn't have an xbox wanted me to bring it over every time... And everyone who had an xbox would set up 8-16 player game nights where everyone brought their xboxes and TVs over to play. It was one of a kind.

Edit:

It's one of the few games i've ever played that I would genuinely give 11 out of 10, just because it was such a huge leap and a game changer. Along with StarCraft, it gave more multiplayer replayability than any other game I've ever played. (an especially impressive feat considering it wasn't even online)

I wanted to give it a 9.7/10. It's my favourite game of all time. Hmm... Guess I'll round up!

To each his own I guess. I used to play a lot of Q3, UT, and some CS when I wanted to play casually back then. I tried Halo and noticed it's even easier and more noob friendly than even CS. The only redeeming feature that I was all carzy about was the resurgence of co-op, since I hadn't played a local co-op game in single-player for years at the time. Hated the health regen back then, and I still hate it now, as well as the limit on how many guns you can hold. The copy-paste levels were also quite tiresome.

Basically I didn't bother with a console other than the GC because of Halo last gen, the exact opposite of what it did for you.

Yeah sorry about no 9. somethings guys. Lets face it, I'm sure you can decide if it's 9 or 10 or otherwise though. Alot of good reviewers dont bother with decimels. Sorry bout that.

even though I am not much of a shooter fan, the game was very good at the time the graphics were top shop on game consoles, one of the things that I think set it apart was there was no to near shooter that on game consoles that was as good as the first HALO, now I am not saying the rest were crap or anything like that, I am just saying that Halo was very smooth in it's frame rate, had a d@mn fine in game control's function's. To me it will be one of the Best shooter's made for game consoles ever.

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

I played it late and on PC and couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. Probably should have played it when it first came out but by the time I started, and with the massive amount of hype behind the game, it felt just like an average game and a poor port. So:

7/10 for me.

i dunno the first one wasn't so great to me espacialy compared to other shooters that were available at the time such as tribes:Aerial assault or Half-life 2 but i felt they got progressively better going through halo 2 and 3 creating a formula that was truly unique

5/10

@Dioxinis

Half Life 2 released the same year as Halo 2. In fact I think they released within a month week of each other.

Also I'd like to add that before Halo: CE I was a purely PC gamer for FPS so I was quite surprised when I enjoyed it so much.
