Nintendo to sell Wii Sports Resort for $49.99?

I think it would be very foolish of Nintendo to charge so much for it.  They need to find a way to ensure almost every Wii owner gets their hands on this if they want it to be more than a gimmick or a device simply for use with Beach Resort.  The Wii remote is already a very expensive device.  You can't seriously be suggesting they charge $20 on top for this.  What if you want 4 of these things. 

Let me point out to you how much it would cost in the UK to indicate how ridiculous it would be to charge anything more than a notional amount (about $5) for this.  3 additional Wii remotes cost me £90 (£30 each), plus £45 for 3 nunchucks (£15 each) plus £60 for 4 1:1 attachments ( I am assuming that if it cost about $20 in US it would be at least £15 in UK but probably even more).  So to have a full complement of controllers (which I would have to have other wise you could accuse me of being a bitter shut-in who doesn't have any friends to play with) I would have spent at least £195.  I would have been wiser to buy Wii Play and 2 extra Wii Remotes than buying 3 Wii remotes so it actually comes to £200.  All of a sudden my cheap console which I paid £180 doesn't look so cheap anymore.  And all I have in terms of games after spending £380 is Wii Sports and Wii Play.

Also I don't see the logic of bundling this with a multi player mini-game.  Are they going to bundle 4 of the attachments with the game?  Otherwise you are left with Player 1 having 1 to 1 and Player 2, 3 and 4 being stuck in the past.  I don't think they will enjoy the game very much that way (if you can even play the game like that).

 And no I am not excited in the least bit at another Wii Sports compilation.  I already have Wii Sports, Wii Play, Mario & Sonic, Mario Kart, Smash Bros.  I don't need another game that is fun to play with friends and family.
