Only on paper. Remember, they specifically shifted the entire $1 billion plus RRoD costs into a single quarter (depsite the fact that they'll be paying it as they go) simply to improve the outlook in future quarters. My guess is that despite releasing mega-games like Halo 3 in that time period, their actual profits are slim to none. Even worse, Micrsoft Corporation as a whole is hemorraghing money right now (where once it had $60 billion in reserves two years ago, it's under $28 billion today). In that environment, I'm thinking stockholders are going to take a very close look at an ancillary branch which has gobbled up billions over just a few years.
