Congratulations, my good man: in only two lines, you've managed to be more wrong than an unsupervised Michael Jackson at an orphanage. Galaxy, Brawl, Kart, Metroid, Fire Emblem, and so many more, all released in the past year...Yeah, they're walking away from their loyal fans alright (a category which I can only assume does not include you, as you seem to be paying them zero attention!). And who, precisely, defines what a "serious game" is? (Hint: not you.) This is the same company that came out with the decidely non-traditional Mario Paint in the early 90's, the company which released a game designed to teach you keyboarding on the SNES. Hell, this is a company that made a fat Italian plumber eat mushrooms and fight a fire-breathing dragon, or go up against a giant monkey, the company which slapped an elf in a mini-skirt and had him fight a giant pig, a company which made an entire game based on one man's gardening hobby. Serious games? Perish the thought, lad; it'd make Nintendo into a company as boring as Ubisoft. Oh, and welcome to the forums. @Shameless: If that's the definition of a game, then I suppose I'm none too interested in playing them. How fortunate for me that it's not, eh? |
Sorry mate, by "make serious" I meant support serious games... and my "abandoning loyal fans" is sourced in their conference - nothing serious at all... I've started paying attention to all this console war stuff/releases/etc. only recently, so I made my statement on recent news. thanks.
