DS has run its course. Nintendo doesn't need to much emphasis in it anymore. They will let it run on cruise control for awhile now with 2 maybe 3 Nintendo games a year while 3rd parties push all the new content.
Meanwhile, they want to ensure continued dominance in the home market. Thus much more Wii centric.
