Well, it's a "core" game. It appeals to people ages 5-20, male and female, which is the "core." This group has always played games. AC was a big hit on Gamecube.
It doesn't appeal to the "hardcore," no. The "hardcore" are the teenage boys who have a sense of entitlement because gaming companies have promoted them as the primary audience.
