And in case you haven't noticed, the industry at large has been all about pandering to "the good old days" mentality. Why else is almost every game out there the exact same few games with slightly different visuals and characters, but exactly the same gameplay as some other game? Do you really enjoy basically re-buying the same gameplay experience over and over, the only differentiation being surface-level details and the way in which that near-identical gameplay is force-fed to you? Instead of endlessly retreating to what you know and repeating the same experiences a thousandfold, I suggest you branch out to what you don't know. Getting indignant and huffy about progress isn't going to make any difference whatsoever, so you may as well enjoy it instead and maybe even get something out of it. Just a suggestion. |
I'm quoting this, simply because I feel like it should be quoted. Well said.

Coward. I'll stick with my "Wiitarded" shirt.

Behold my deplorable fashion sense! =P
