I think the problem is everyone thinks E3 is when the games for the next year are announced... but it isn't, just because they only announced Wii Sports/Music, Animal Crossing etc, doesn't mean they are the only games coming out.
Something like Pikmin or Wave Race (which was almost in the conference 
) isn't big enough to announce too soon.
