We see it all the time. What was once thought to be an exclusive title for a console goes elsewhere. Capcom did it to the gamecube big time last generation. Now it has been announced that FF is no longer a PS3 exclusive, something I personally saw coming a mile away.
Those are the breaks when your console is not number 1. You have no leverage and the sales potential just isn't there any more.
Its something that has been blatantly apparent to me for a while, but seems to be coming as a shock to the PS3 fans. You can't rely on a game being an exclusive unless it is 1st or 2nd party. That is just the way it is.
So, Nintendo has Mario, Zelda, Smash Brothers, etc etc etc, MS has Halo, Fable, etc.
For you PS3 fans, what 1st party franchises do you honestly look forward to?
