I also imagine nintendo would want this to work with the nunchuck as well. It wont affect old games, because there would be no input code to interact with the new peripheral. Yes, it may work with older games if the device actually improves the technology in the Wii remote itself. There would be no reason to change to code. All the device has to do is improve the accuracy and speed of the Wii-remote while getting rid of the lag. Remember the lag is due to the Wii-remote not the code in the game.
