How about I compare God of War 2 and FFX with some of the best wii games.

God of War 2 has many things that make it easy for it to look nice. Firstly about half of what you see is Pre-Rendered. This means these things are taking too much power to be implemented. Also this helps them focus more on the actual in-game visuals. Now lets look at the textures. They look really nice, for a ps2 game, but there is better on the Xbox, Gamecube, and Wii(alot better) and I could show you this. Secondly the game is running at 30fps(I'm pretty sure) which means there is even less power being utilized. Now the polygon count is where it really is weak at. There is far less on screen than most of the Wii and Gamcube game I will be showing. The lighting is nice, but again there is much better on the wii and gamecube. This was actually the limits of the PS2 btw. THe gamecube was never pushed to its limits, and still had alot of pushing for it at the end of its life.
Now lets look at FFX.

Yeah, um there is alot of Aliasing, low polygon counts(even for an open world game) bad textures, and extremely bad lighting. The character models are very poor and there is alot better even on the ps2.
Now lets look at a few GC games that look considerabely better.
This alone looks better than both the games you mentioned, and it runs at 60fps on the wii 30fps on the gamecube and ps2.

Now please tell me nintendo is selling a ps2 with motion controls again. The wii is a considerable upgrade from the gamecube and xbox let alone the ps2.
Also thiswould have been done sooner, but for some reason my previous post didn't show. Oh and why are you comparing the wii to the ps3. Remember you said nintendo is selling a ps2, not ps3.
