Impulsivity is straying so far away from posting just facts that I am convinced he is doing this as an elaborate joke.
I have seen it. They make around $80 for every Wii sold in America, and that number was from a while ago so it is likely much higher now. It is also sold-out across most of the country. When talking about whether or not something is over-priced it is entirely relevant to bring up sales. If the majority do not feel your good or service is worth the price you offer it at they will not purchase said good or service.
Price versus features is a meaningless debate. Mini-game collections give you the most games for your dollar. Does that make a game with only one style of gameplay over-priced? Of course not. The more a product does the less well it does any individual task. This is one of the basic principles of engineering. That is not to say that a device dedicated to a single feature will be automatically better than one that does more. It does mean that if you trim out the extra your product will be better most of the time. A PS3 without all the extra features would have sold far far more since it would not have had such an astronomical price tag associated with it.
Simple question for those that think the multiple features makes the PS3 automatically better than the Wii. Do you own a DVD player, or a DVD and VHS combo player? The DVD + VHS player is clearly the superior product as it offers more features than a regular DVD player. I am willing to bet you own (or owned) a simple DVD player because the extra features were not worth the cost thus making the combo drive the over priced one.
