How can people think it will have NO IMPACT at all?
HDTV is becoming the standard everyone that has a console now will most likely have an HDTV soon if they don't already. Meaning the PS3 and 360 will be a little more attractive in the near future. It will not affect the Wii, it will still sell great.
I don't think the OP is saying it's going to be a "turning point" in the gen, just that it will make a positive impact some time in the near future.
This doesn't concern the people "too poor" to buy a console. What this is, is the beginning of this generation weeding out the old and replacing it with new. VHS to CD, Analog to HD.
If perferring the PS3 over the 360 makes me a fanboy.. I guess I am guilty..
List of 360 Games I would like to have: Alan Wake
List of PS3 Games I would like to have: LBP, FFXIII(if it ever comes), R2(maybe)
List of Wii Games I would like to have: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (It's not an exclusive but it would be awesome)
