I think short term it will have little to no effect. With that said I could see it having effect over the long term. I know I am planning to buy an HD TV shortly before February. Over the course of time people will be buying HD TV's, and when they do it will lead to them innevitably looking to move up to blu ray at some point. So long term yeah I think it will, but how much I have no idea.
