I can't even begin to fathom how wrong people are taking this. First, Microsoft has said MANY times that they are taking the 360 to at least a six or seven-year life-cycle, which means we won't know anything about its' successor until at least year five or six. They may as well kiss the industry goodbye if they give us another so soon.

There may, in fact, be developers currently working on games for Microsoft's next-next-gen specs, but guess what that proves. Nothing. Development for the current generation of consoles takes about three years if you don't have an engine already. I SHUDDER to think how long it'll take next generation--five years, perhaps? That's about how long it'll be before the next consoles even BEGIN to surface.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
