These steps are for American Timezones, and I'll assume you have a DVR of some sort.

Believe it or not, E3 starts Monday, and though many of us have heard that G4TechTV is showing the big 3 press conferences commercial free, we don't exactly know how to work televisions, apparently, and also we can't judge time and space, so here is Zenfoldor's handy guide on exactly how to set your DVR's(also known as Tivo, PVR, or Digital Video Recorders) to make it where you can just pull the shows up and watch them when you wake up at 5pm, which is my wakeup time, as I am a lazy bum.

So, here we go, as if you were my 80 year old grandmother:

Dish Network is what I have, however, you might have some something else, so the first step for you is to:

Step 1: Find out what channel G4TechTV comes on, on your television. For me it's channel 191.

Next, you'll want to find find some sort of programming guide. Mine is built into my television and it has information and everything.

Step 2: Press "Guide" or the equivelant button to bring up your DVR's television menu/program guide.

Step 3: Go to the channel that G4TechTV is on your TV, in the guide(see step 1 to determine the right channel)

Step 4: Press forward to scroll your guide forward. Go all the way to 6:00 AM on Monday July 14th.

Step 5: Determine the show that you've selected. If it isn't "E3 '08 Live" then press forward until the show you've selected is "E3 '08 Live"(this will take a few presses, here's a tip, it's 12:00 PM central standard time on my guide, but I've recorded the movie before it just in case, as well, which is King of Kong).

Step 6: Press whatever magic is required from your controller(the select button for me) to make your DVR/Tivo/PVR record the show entitled "E3 '08 Live" the info on the show should say: Spotlight Microsoft: Microsoft unveils the latest offerings NEW, or something along those lines, but if it doesn't, don't worry. The show should be 2 hours long.

Step 7: Skip forward approximately 23 hours from the beginning of the Microsoft show, and set that show to record as well. The show should be entitled E3 '08 Live. It is 3 hours long and contains the info: Spotlight: Sony and Nintendo: Coverage of Sony and Nintendo. New.

Step 8: Profit.

Be careful. Your guide might be segmented or might split the shows into different sections, that I can't possibly predict. I hope that you will be able to improvise and make sure you record 2 hours on Monday, and 3 hours on Tuesday of E3 08 live, so you don't miss the conference.

Thanks.
