A bit late, but definitely Tears of the Kingdom for me. I really didn't like it that much on my first play-through. I disliked the building mechanics because it felt like they were mandatory in many places. I loathed the fact that the game re-used the BotW over-world map. Many quests seemed formulaic, and it just felt like retreading old ground. I also didn't like the fact that the towers and ultra-hand made exploration so much faster (I really enjoyed the slow pace of BotW, exploding every nook and cranny of the map, etc.). Oh, and the dungeons were a disappointment after Nintendo had been hyping them up as a return to traditional dungeons. I didn't even finish the game. Also, performance problems on Switch 1. (Jeez, my list of complaints is long).

I also missed some things you were supposed to find early on in the game because when I landed in Hyrule I just ran away and began exploring. At the same time, I triggered some things way too soon. For example, relatively early in the game I jumped from a sky island and just freaking landed on the, uh, "spot" where you get a very important weapon in the game (and a huge spoiler, too) which flat-out broke half the story.

On my second play through on Switch 2 I really liked the game. It now felt like BotW but bigger. It felt less overwhelming at the same time. I stuck to the intended structure of the game a bit more and just enjoyed it for what it was. I still have my complaints, but overall the experience was much better than the first time. And I actually finished it!
